Members of the guild will determine the works that are submitted. All submissions must be ready to hang, with a pole pocket and include the label information listed below
- Artist
- Title
- Date Completed
- Method or Category (if necessary)
- Short description/narrative/statement (optional)
Label for Quilt of Valor
The quilt must be labeled as Quilt of Valor and include a space for the recipient’s name and the full name or initial of the person(s) who prepared the top. i.e. “piecer”, the “quilter” and the “binder”. The date and location of the award and laundering instructions may also be included. The label must not include any religious or political message or advertisements. Indicating that printing of the label has been donated by a business or other person is acceptable.
All submissions must be dropped off at the museum on Saturday, October 10 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
All participating artists certify that the submitted quilts are their own work. Quilts may be refused if they are found to be hazardous to museum collections, human health or safety, contain political content, or are offensive by common standards.
